With their upcoming EP, West & Ward will join the fight to eradicate the stigma preventing much-needed conversations about mental health from taking place. Their brand of Americana, which also borrows from genres including traditional pop and rock, will get the studio treatment for the first time thanks to a Kickstarter campaign that became the site’s most funded music project ever to come out of York.
The duo consists of Elijah Cross and Macy K, who began performing together in 2019. Taking their name from the actors who portrayed Batman & Robin on TV in the 60s, their live shows similarly feature silly banter before getting down to business.
The King George Speakeasy is open to the public with no cover charge Fridays and Saturdays from 7-11pm
