Lone Cricket and Doctor Bad Drums in The King George Speakeasy

  • The King George 108 N. George St., Lower Level York PA 17401 (map)

Bob Valgenti (aka doctor.bad.drums) is a philosopher, educator, drummer, and modular synthesist who explores the improvisational possibilities of electronic music.

Composing with both acoustic and electronic instruments, Lone Cricket strives to build sonic worlds that create a transcendent state for listeners in an environment composed of sound waves. While reflecting aural textures, rhythms and frequencies found in nature through the use of looping and synthesis, interwoven with traditional playing, he creates a full sound that takes on unique characteristics unlike any definable genre.

Starting his music journey by learning the drums at age 10, and soon after picking up the guitar, LC developed a growing obsession for learning new instruments from both the West and the East. Having an arsenal of tools to create textures, he uses pedals and modular synthesis to create a web of sonic layers, bringing a new life to musical concepts that he loves to explore.

Lone Cricket is David Hall from Reading, PA. Music is his life's main passion, and he's excited to keep playing shows, tour soon, and bring his sonic worlds to you.
